As yet there are no guests in the new pavilion,
So what shall I do all the livelong day?
Taking advantage of the warmth,
I paint the tea kettle,
To protect myself from the cold
I take shelter on either side of the bamboo fence.
After my headaches have decreased,
My eyes still dim but about to brighten;
I pour the winecup about a third full,
Then idly write titles for a few poems.
I must set out two chairs,
One to wait for your arrival.
